Joe14,

There is help of the sort you asked for,

All you have to do is enter veo or tengo in the search window at the top of the page on the right and it will give you the vocabular word, and a list of lessons that cover the use of it.

If you want more information than that, try the online dictionaries at Wordreference.com.

hi colleagues,

i just wanted to let you know that im looking forward to studying with you all and hope we can succeed in our Spanish quest together as one...

It may be hard at points but we must stick together and never give up the fight.  Then...fellow Spanish students...and only then...will we be able to conquer all mountains, sail all seas, cross all deserts, fly every sky and speak Spanish.

May god be with us all.

joe14, as a newbee don't push it too much, learn senrtences from the newbee lessons as they are, don't go into: is it present perfect or other forms, just learn a chunk of words that mean something, later on when you have loads of words that you understand you can go deep into: OK is this present or past? and other conjucations otherwise it is so hard at the beginning to do it and much easier to just go in the flow of the newbee lessons until about lesson 40 or 50 then you will be ok to go to the next level, the elementary, of course this is my personnel opinion which is by all meaning might be very wrong, but I guess you will enjoy it more that way. Good luck in your study, it will be difficult but the rewards after a small bit of work will get you a long way with the natives, better than: Do you speak english??? which is irritating and annoying to them, while if you say few words, you will gain an instant friend.Wish you best luck.

¡Bienvenidos!

Welcome to Spanishpod Nyamzaya,

I have two friends that speak Mongolian. They met there while working in the Peace Corps.  Since you are studying English as well, take a look at the Englishpod.com site here at praxis, and per your request. I will give you some feedback on your English.  First off, you are doing very well.

(Sentences begin with capital letters) Hi, everybody.(Use two spaces to seperate sentences and the personal pronoun I is always capitalised.)   I'm Nyamzaya. I live in Mongolia. I study English, Russian,Korean and Spanish.  I'm very ambitious (Wow, yes I would say you are ambitious, that is to say you set high goals for yourself and work hard to achieve them; but I think the word you wanted was anxious, meaning eager)  to learn foreign languages. (< but I don't have any money to learn Korean, Russian (note that Spanish does not normally capitalise language names) languages course and buy dictionaries and books.  There aren't Spanish language courses and books, dictionaries in Mongolia, so my English teacher advice advised me to use a web site.  I learn these languages by myself.

and I ask for help of from you. give me advice.

  thanks a lot

sincerely Nyamzaya

Just start listing to newbie and elementary lessons and learn chunks of the language.  Sometimes it is good to just listen to the rythym of  the language too, so listen to upper level lessons, or Taco del Tango sessions all in Spanish, even though don't  understand all the words. There are also internet Spanish radio stations so you can listen to Spanish songs while you work on your math or make lunch.

Best of luck. You have come to the right place.
