Newbie - What languages do you speak?

¿Cuántas lenguas extranjeras han estudiado?

Yo estudié ruso , inglés y francés.¡Me gustan los idiomas!

I studied Russian, English and  French. I like speaking foreign languages.

He estudiado ruso también. Pero nunca aprendí hablar o leer bien (o aun mal).  Pero aprendiendo el alfabeto de ruso me ayudé leer pocas senales de la calle en Grecia cuando vistaba. Eso siempre me ha soprendido.

I have studied russian too.  But I never learned to speek or read well (or even badly).  But learning the russian alphabet did help me to read a few street signs in Greece when I visted.  This has always suprised me.

Mi lengua materna es ruso,tambien hablo la lengua oficial de mi pais-lituano,ingles-la mas importante lengua,porque es internacional,y estoy estudiando español,me encanta esta lengua,estoy total enamorada a esta lengua perfecta y hermosisima,cuando canta en español me muero =D

Hey newbies!

There are a handful of common nouns in Spanish that look like they should be feminine because they end in -a, but in fact turn out to be masculine.

Here are a few that, like idioma, end in -ma.  They are all masculine; they are all derived from Greek, where they were neuter in gender:

el poema, el programa, el problema, el tema, el sistema

Yo adoro el idioma ruso.Me encanta su fonética¡Suena fenomenal!Su gramática es muy densa y te fuerza a meterte dentro.Yo le puse mucho interés y dedicación.Lo mejor que tuve fueron mis profesoras nativas,todavía las recuerdo con mucha emoción.

Tengo discos de Ala Pugachova en casa y de vez en cuando la escucho,me fascina.

De mis cursos de Inglés y Francés,también guardo buenos recuerdos,pero fueron en realidad más cortos.

I studied German in school, but did not like it so much. So i switched to French.

My native language is Spanish, I speak French and English fluent and Mandarin intermediate. I am struggling with my Chinese...it's sooo hard!

Some corrections:

Yo estudié  espanol  y  e  inglés .Me gustan los idiomas.

• When we have a word starting with ¨i¨ we use ¨e¨ instead of ¨y¨ as a conjunction .It is a pronunciation issue.

...or you can also say:Yo estudié inglés y español.

• Me    gustan    los idiomas.

       (CI)   (Verb)       (noun)

     or...

•  Los idiomas me gustan.
  

Mi idioma materno es inglés pero siempre he oido español porque soy de california.  Todavía puedo recordar que me interesaba mucho oía los sonidos de este idioma, y me gustaban mucho las clases de español en la escuela y el colegio.  En la universidad aprendí alemán y viví seis meses in Alemania en un pueblo donde nadie habló inglés.  ¡Por lo tanto aprendí muy rápido!  Y ahora después de 35 años estoy aprendiendo español otra vez.  De veras me encanta este idioma todavía.

Hablo solamente inglés pero siempre me gusta el idioma español.

Yo tuve la dicha de aprender dos idiomas simultaneamente.  

Mis padres me hablaban solamente en español en casa, pero en la escuela y con mis amigos hablaba solamente en ingles!  Tuve mucha suerte creo yo.

Soy Filipino, muchas palabras españolas estan en nuestra lengua.  En nuestra casa, ya que, soy de una familia antigua filipina-española, hablamos en Español y Tagala.  En nuestro cole hablemos en ingles.  Tambien estudiaba Frances en La Escuela de Artes Culinarias, pero la perdí.  Ahora, hablo español, tagala y ingles.

Soy de Macedonia.Hablo ruso, frances,un poco ingles y ahora aprendo greco y castellano.Serbio y bulgario son muy similares a mi propia lingua. Me gusto aprender las lenguas. El ruso es muy dificil a aprender pero vale la pena. !No se renuncia!

El otra palabra que yo sabía es femenino es, el agua.

I actually thought of something on the subject of Spanish being a very romantic language, well, partially on subject.

El Inglés es el idioma de la gente. El Francés es el idioma del paladar, pero el Español es el idioma del corazón.

English is the language of the people. French is the language of the palate, but Spanish is the language of the heart.

I  am a Chinese , but I like English and Spanish very much. I have studied English for 10 years.  But spanish is not very popular in China. Most teenagers are interested in Japanese because of Japanese cartoon films and famous AV.  Who can tell me how to learn spanish for free in China?

Cual es la differencia entre "español" y "el español"?

He estudiàdo ruso, alemàn, italiano, español, y japonès pero nunca aprendì bien. ¿Como aprender un idioma lo suficientemente bien para ser fluido sin tener que ir a otro pais?

I've studied Russian, German, Italian, Spanish, and Japanese but never learned well.  How do learn a language well enough to be fluent without going to another country?

Soy de Suecia y por eso hablo sueco con soltura. También hablo inglés avanzado y español basico. En el futuro quiero aprender frances también porque me parece es una lengua muy hermosa. 

Crees que es más fácil aprender frances si se habla español? Y crees que es difícil estudiar dos lenguas al mismo tiempo?

I´m from Sweden and therefore speak Swedish fluently. I also speak advanced english and basic spanish. In the future I want to learn French because I think it´s a beautiful language.

Do you think it´s easier to learn French if you already can speak spanish? And is it very difficult to study two different languages at the same time?
