Además, yo traduciría la frase “qué se llevaron” como el pasivo:  “What was taken?”  Si fuera el reflexiva, querría decir “What did they take from themselves?”

La diferencia entre los dos verbos es sutil. Me alegro que esta lección me haya obligado pensar más en el uso reflexivo de este verbo.

Alma, "nos robaron" no es reflexivo. Queire decir "they robbed us". Sin el "nos" no podemos saber a quien les robaron. Puede decir te robaron, they robbed you. Tienes razon es indirecto.
