Remember Me
Lesson Introduction

Chrunchy, creamy, not too heavy... Chef Tabasco's chicken tostada might be the biggest hit yet. Yes, it will break in your hand, and possibly stain your tie, but once you taste it it won't matter one bit. Listen for the target word, which means "to mix."

The word "tostada" can refer to both the plain crispy tortilla; or the recipe shown here, where the crispy tortilla is spread with beans and then covered with toppings.

My favorite is chicken, like in the video, or seafood... but sometimes in a pinch just spreading a little guacamole on the tostada will do the trick.

Back home, I used to buy the tostadas in a bag, so I wouldn't have to fry tortillas.

Tostadas are a great, great thing, but remember, you have to eat them fresh.  If they stand around for too long, they get soggy.

Lovely recipe! My mother used to make these all the time when I was younger. So far I can't find corn tortilla in Korea, though. How do you say, "What a pity" in Spanish anyway?

Tostadas is one of my favorites!
