Yo también fui al dentista hace dos meses para que me hicieran un examen y una limpieza dental. Confio plenamente en mi dentista aquí pero me daría mucho miedo consultar a un dentista desconocido si estuviera de viaje, por ejemplo. I also went to the dentist two months ago for an exam and to get my teeth cleaned. I trust my dentist here completely but I'd be very scared to consult a dentist I didn't know if, for example, I were traveling.
Yo he ido al dentista recientemente no solamente para limpieza general sino para tratamiento de cavidad y les juro que me da terror la maquinita que utilizan para perforar,creo que se le llama fresa o taladro.
¡Ay, pobre de ti, Yenny! Pero dime una cosa -- me di cuenta del uso de la palabra 'caries' en el podcast y de tu uso de 'cavidad'. Se dice 'cavidad' en Cuba y no 'caries'? Es como menos formal o es efectivamente la misma cosa?
Hola anna8,normalmente decimos caries,tines mucha razón,pero quise dar otra variante como ¨cavidad¨.

Fui al dentista hace un mes. Me llamó la atención que me regalaron tantas cosas- "Ten, una flor, un bálsamo labial, hilo dental, etc." Creo que se han dado cuenta del dolor que me causan, jaja :-)
I went to the dentist a month ago. It struck me that they gave me so many things- "Here, have a flower, a chapstick, some floss, etc." I think they've realized how much pain they cause me, haha :-)

¿Hay una diferencia entre muela y diente?

Normalmente decimos dientes cuando hablamos de dentadura,o sea para referernos a todos.Y también para referirnos a los delanteros.
Las muelas son un tipo de diente en específico,las que se encuentran posterior a los dientes caninos ,o sea a los lados y que sirven para masticar o triturar los alimentos.
