¿Alguna vez han ido a comer tapas?

Have you ever tried tapas?

Me gusta comer tapas acompañadas de una buena copa de vino.

I like eating tapas accompanied by a good glass of wine.

Once I tried to tell a Latino friend “comí tapas para el almuerzo”  - “I ate tapas for lunch” but I said “comí tipos para el almuerzo” – “I ate guys for lunch”

There used to be a place in Seattle on 2nd Ave called Marcha, but it's long gone now.  Now there's Txori in Belltown and Harvest Vine near the Madison Valley. 

For tapas in Shanghai, there's El Willy, but someone told me to try Cantine Nouveau.

Do you mean a good glass of wine (as you translated it) or .. a glass of good wine

Probablemente , quisieras decir una copa de buen vino

Mmm me gusta mucho las tapas, pero el único restaurante cerca de mi tiene precios tan caros. La tortilla de patatas está delicioso...

Me encantan las Tapas! La comida española es de mis favoritas! Puedo comer muuuchas! Antes cuando comía carne la de jamón serrano era mi favorita. Ahora me gusta mucho tortilla de patas y sobre todo mariscos!

Quiero hacer tapas rally,de una barra a otro,

para comer muchas tapas diferentes y beber mucha cerveza:-))))

Here in Costa Rica, tapas are called 'bocas.'  Every bar, no matter how small or poor, seems to have them.  Perhaps the most popular boca, which is  is CHIFRIO which is unique to Costa Rica.  It is said that bars are often rated by the quality of their chifrio.  A primary ingredient of chifrio is chicharron.  Chicharrons are fried pieces of pork skin that are much better than that sounds.  (Farmers in the US used to have these as a by product of rendering lard, and they were referred to as´'cracklings.')  Along with the chicharrones, tomatoes and beans are key elements of chifrio, along with various spices.  Sometimes rice is also added, but this is a little disturbing to purists. 

Me gusta comer tapas puesto que puedo comer varios de mi favorito comida sin parecer glótona.

I like tapas because I can eat a variety of my favorite dishes without appearing greedy.

Creo que Dim Sum puede ser un ejemplo de Tapas estilo Hong Kong. Porque son pequeños platos con diferentes botanas.

I think Dim Sum can be a style of Tapas from Hong Kong. This is because they are small plates with different snacks.

Me encanta la tortilla calamar, me encanta mucho. Squid tortilla I missed out that one, better next time.

Hace años había un restaurante español en Ridgway, Colorado, un pueblito de 400 personas cerca de Telluride, un estación de esquí (dice el diccionario)...  los propietarios, ella de los EEUU que se casó con un hombre de España, después de un par de años allá, volvieron a España...  pudimos ir una vez y era increíble...  las patatas bravas y los pimientos de colores verde y rojo en aceite de oliva fueron las favoritas.... ¡con mucho vino tinto, por supuesto!

Creo que están tratando de alentar a más de ello.

La primera vez comí tapas estaba en Madrid y me les gustaron mucho.  Mi favoritos tapas son jamón, aceitunas, tortilla de patata, croqueta, calamar….. ¡de verdad me les gustan todo!

Yo aprendo el español, un poco hablo español pero me gusto tortilla :)

Gustar is one of several verbs that turn the sentence structure upside down compared to what you are used to in English.

It is the tortilla that is giving pleasure to you,  not you liking it, hence the verb is third person singular for tortilla instead of first person singular for you, like the first two verbs in your sentence.

roving food trucks are all the rave now even though they've been around forever.  is there a colloquial name for food trucks?  anyone know of a good food truck in their area?
