Esperamos que..could that also be "Let's hope that..." and is "let's" a good translation for the nosostros endings?

After esperamos you use the subjunctive. Is that always the case after "esperar" or is it subjunctive here because of the negative "no haya perdido" and so it could be "ha perdido" (in the case it was an evil doctor and hoped that the patient had lost a lot of blood).

And so should I say "Espero que no tengas un mal fin de semana"  but "Espero que tienes un buen fin de semana" ?

I do not know if Spanish speakers will ever us esperamos to mean lets hope.  The official way to say it would be esperemos.  Regular ar verbs end in emos when used as a first person plural (nosotros) command,  er and ir verbs end in amos.  So comamos – lets eat   hablemos – let’s talk

When you are using esperar to mean to hope, you are expressing a desire so anything after “que” should be in the subjective.  “Espero que tu tengas un buen fin de semana”  I hope that you have a good weekend.  If there is no subject change after esperar, que is not used and the second verb is in the infinitive “Espero tener un buen fin de semana”  I hope that I have a good weekend.

He visto muchas cosas horribles como accidentes automovilisticas, punaladas, y casos graves de infecciones de los pulmones. Llevaba doce anos trabajando en el hospital. Pero, renuncie mi trabajo alli para cuidar a mis ninos en casa. Nunca quiero regresar a esta profesion!
