¿Cuál palabra se usa más para decir maybe, quizas or tal vez?, y ¿hay alguna diferencía entre los dos?

Estoy de vacaciones en Mexico y ayer fui a una fiesta de cumpleanos y me diverti mucho. De veras fue tres cumpleanos en una fiesta con mas o menos cincuenta personas, tres piñatas, tres pasteles, buena comida y mucha cerveza y tequila. Ademas habia buena musica para bailar (baile mucho) y tambien musica en vivo con un guapo muchacho que tocaba la guitarra y cantaba. Fue una fiesta estupenda!

I'll paste in the words or sentences that confused me. Las palabras y las frases que me confundaron, I mean. Or is it que me confundierón? If the infinitive is confundarse, wouldn't the preterite thirdd person plural be me confundarón? But then why have I heard people say "me confundido" to mean "I'm confused?" I'm obviously confused. I don't understand what you're saying. Did you mean that, of all these options, the one you use the least is tal vez? You don't like it very much? If so, why? Is it, for instance, "maybe you'll call yourself later? Because maybe I'll call you later would be te llamaré or, in that flexible way of using present tense to indicate future, te llamo luedgo. Hola yardbird. Perhaps I should just wait for Esti to respond to all your questions, but since I'm here.... First, "ajromeroiii" is the screen name of one of the SpanishPod students. Second, in the sentence "quizás te llame luego," the word "llame" is the first person singular present subjunctive (I call/I will call), and she uses it because "quizás" is usually followed by the subjunctive. The sentence thus means "perhaps I'll call you later." (The present subjunctive can often be translated as a future tense). I hope this helps (and I hope I'm right! :-) )

Oh, I see. Llame is being used as the subjunctive because of the "maybe." I wasn't thinking. Thanks. And I hadn't noticed the screen name before (I don't see all the screen names and messages because I skip over some while searching for other page elements using a screen reader program for the blind, and then when I heard this screen name for the first time in that thread, pronounced by a speaking computer program, and you should hear how dramatic and strange this handle sounds when pronounced by an English language voice synthesizer, like someone screaming in a horror movie).

jcwylen, Se dice "el mar," masculino. I think Hemmingway commented in The Old Man and the Sea that the it used to be "la mar," but somehow that word changed genders over the centuries.

Me acuerdo que en una lección pasada el personaje dijo "le murieron" (a Sofía). Entonces hay que algunos criminales que le han secuestrado a Sofía! Quizás tengamos una lección por la tema del rescate!

Hi. I received two answers (One about llame being subjunctive, the other about the screen name I thought was a mysterious real word. I would still love to know 1. How to say that something confused me (me confundió/confundarón, for example?) and also how to simply say "I'm confused." Estoy confundido? Estoy confundado? Me confundo?" Seriously. I don't know how to use this word at all, and would like to learn. Also, Esti, why did you say that you like, and use, tal vez the least out of all those ways to say "maybe?" Do you dislike that expression? thanks very much.

en la expansion, la expresion "Su cuerpo es espectacular." ¿ quiere decir que el/ella tiene un super cuerpo (+) o que su cuerpo es extraño en  algo (-) ? - porque mi lengua es el frances, y no entiendo tampoco el sentido de la traducion en ingles aqui.   Tambien, quiero saber ¿ si se usa mucho o solo cuando pasa o Superman o Hulk ? jaja :-) Gracias

What is the difference between "Que le paso" and "Que le pasa"?  I see the first used in the dialogue, but the second used in the expansion.
