En su país, ¿la gente suele tomar agua embotellada? ¿Cuesta caro?

En Guanajuato, tenemos que tomar agua embotellada siempre.
Sí, ¿verdad? En México y en muchos otros paises del mundo no hay de otra.
En China si no es embotellada el agua , no se puede beber.

Vivo en Japón y antés bebía agua corriente, pero ahora, por si acaso, uso un filtro que fija(sujeta?) en la llave. Cuesta mucho (como $30 dolares) a principo pero a la largo no, porque lo use muchas veces. Recientemente he oido muchas historias del pasado (alreadedor de 1950-1970) sobre unas enfermedades transmitida por agua contaminada por residuos industriales en Japón que me hizo sentir un poco paranoica.
¿Ya se que los filtres no van a prevenir estos tipos de enfermedades (y que ahora hay más regulaciónes sobre residuos industriales) pero más vale prevenir que curar, no?
¿Tal vez soy una victima del consumerismo? Han visto "The Story of Bottled Water (La historia de agua embotellada)" http://storyofstuff.org/bottledwater/ Se puede ver con subtítulos españoles aqui. Es una documental sobre la industria de agua embotellada en los Estados Unidos y como realmente sentimos que necesitamos agua embotellada cuando tiene menor calidad, cueste miles de veces más que el agua del red de la ciudad, y está menos regulada que el agua corriente. Llegó a pasar así debido a algo se llama "la fabricación de la demanda" por los compañías de bebidas. Es un documental muy interesante!

He probado RAIN WATER. Agua de lluvia también es muy cara pero supuestamente buena para la salud.
He leido que está ok reusar las botellas plásticas si ellas se lavan con sabon y agua de una temperatura moderata, no muy caliente como en máquinas de lavar platos. Tambien, esas botellas no deben estar en el sol caliente, éste tambien liberta más BPA.
