Yo también soy estadounidense, y me ENCANTA que existe esa palabra en español. No hay forma efectiva de decirlo en inglés. Americano abarca dos contienentes enteros, no sólo un país.

I go for my Spanish lessons at Strathclyde Uni, I actually live about 25 minutes outside of Glasgow and yes it's very cold and raining at the moment.

A couple of questions...should it be "mi mamá es EL inlgés", if so why? Secondly, I had to look up the word for "consider" with Google Translate...and it changed británico to británica, is this correct?

Sorry woodymellor, my post might have confused you. I used britanica because I'm female.
No it's my fault for double checking my Spanish in Google Translate - I did write Britanico first, but Google suggested Britanica...I've learned an important lesson!
And my Dad is actually from Coatbridge by the way, I'm just used to telling people it's Glasgow!
