No tomo azúcar con café pero si tomo crema. A veces el café se enfrió cuando le añado la crema. Entonces cuando hago el café en mi casa, lo meto treinta segundos al micro. Ya sé que no es muy “high class”!

por favor se usa la misma frase: el mesero para decir: what can I offer to you? "que se le ofrece" & el cliente para decir: what do YOU have to offer (to me)? "que se le ofrece"?

Hola, Instead of 'se me enfrio el cafe', can one say 'se enfrio mi cafe'? Does it have the same meaning? Or does it sound not quite Spanish? And can one use the phrase 'usted olvido traerme una cucharilla' instead of 'se le olvido...'? Gracias

Joven,  WordReference.com says the word may be either masculine or feminine and author, Isabel Allende, in "Ciudad de las Bestias" uses it in the feminine form when she introduces the villianese, Morgana.

Joven, WordReference.com dice que la palabra puede ser masculino o femenino y la escritora, Isabel Allende, en "Ciudad de las Bestias" se utiliza lo en la forma femenina cuando se introduce el villana, Morgana.
Soy Morgana —se presentó la joven.

cobre, you're right, the adjective and noun "joven" can be masculine or feminine.  However, as a form of address or as a way to get someone's attention, it's usually only used with dudes.

Noted, Allende has used it in part to set the tone. Morgana is a not a "lady".   So the use here is to express in few words things that would be nuance in spoken language.

Could Rodney, use it to distance himeself from romantic involvement?

Since we're talking about joven, I have another question about this word when used as a form of address--

If joven is to señor as señorita is to señora, and it is rather tactless to call a youngish woman (who is a stranger to you) señora, is it also borderline rude to call a young man señor, rather than joven?  Or is it neutral or perhaps even flattering for a joven to be addressed as señor?

Interesting question anna8, in my opinion I think it could be more flattering for a young man to be called señor. Perhaps males prefer to be adressed as older people while females possibly the opposite.

For what it's worth, I am 47 and when I was in Mexico last year people addressed me as "joven".  I liked it.
