There's no way (under no circumstances) I can beat that record. I have 5, all from one family. Which of us users can? (and help with the Spanish would be appreciated - hypersport - you there????)

Tengo 19 primos. 45? Wow and I thought I had a lot!

Someone once told me that "esposo" also means "handcuffs". Is that true?

Lili:

Gracias por las correcciones, pero tengo unas preguntas. Las gemelas tienen ochente y seis años, no?

I know i should not have used ha with the imperfect, my bad.

I assume it would be correct to say-- Yo estudiaba español al SpanishPod. since this is a continuing action.

Is it also correct to use estudiaba when speaking of Kari, mi sobrina, on the basis that though the action is past it remains important in the present, she still speaks Spanish and still is learning; or does the fact that the two semesters she studied there were definite time periods that ended trump that?

and yes, I know better about Guadalajara, but the sign on the restaurant on the corner has an H in it so that we gringos say it right. I have been brainwashed.

Hola, soy hablante nativo de español y quisiera ayudarles a resolver dudas.

Con respecto a esta lección, la escuché y es muy útil, porque en el mundo hispano parlante la familia es muy importante.

Acerca de mi familia, es muy pequeña, ni siquiera tengo sobrina ni hermano :P

Well i would like to help you all by resolving doubts and questions. Its very important to learn how to introduce people and every member of family.

I would like to add that tough im not  from spain but from latin america. I ve heard many times in spanish tv or informally they say tío , tía refering to a guy or a woman.

For example : Este tío sabe mucho

Literally: This uncle knows a lot

Translation: This guy knows a lot

In latin america we say "este tipo" and even in Chile we say "Este gallo", " Esta galla" but its very informal.

I hope that this post might help you all :P

Gallo formally means Rooster, but that´s how we say it in Chile.

There are other expressions like "cuate" wich belongs to mexico :P
