Se dice: "4 entre 4", "4 por 4" y "4 menos 4".

Los mas comun es "2 mas 2 son 4".

I say 4 dividido por 4.  Some say dividido entre 4

4 por 4 es 16

4 menos 4 es 0

4 y 4 es 8

When talking about numbers as in math, you use "es".  When talking about things in particular, you would use "son".  Mathematically speaking, "es" is the result.

I don't know why most everyone chooses 2 and 2 equals 4, it is an ambiguous example because 2 plus 2 es 4,  y 2 times 2 is also 4.
No sé por qué casi todo el mundo elige 2 y 2 es igual a 4, es un ejemplo ambiguo porque 2 más 2 es 4,  y 2 veces 2 es también 4.

Better examples would be 2 plus 3 equals 5,   and 2 times 3 equals 6.
Ejemplos mejores serían 2 más 3 es igual  5,   y 2 veces 3 es igual a 6.

Soy bueno para las matemáticas, pero soy malo para las matemáticas en español.  Es como mi celebro solo puede hacer una casa en alguno momento (how do you say, “at the same time”?) .

Me encanta las matemáticas, me favorota clase. Actually it was the only subject i didn't need to study for, compared to physics, chemistry and biology no matter how much I study nothing sink in, funny that i picked science instead of art with my scientific abilities Einstein would retire early from laughter at my abilities (he would be thinking what mistakes have i done in this life).

Well I guess this question will sum all of it in one line:

Can you please tell me how do you say in espanol: tres time cenco minus nueve plus seis divided by seis equal dos por favor???.

Numbers and mathematics are very versitile for shopping (and bargaining) so usefull when you go there shopping in Spain where you don't settle for the price given, just wondering is it the same bargaining tactics in Mexico or Ecuador? (make it very interesting and handy to learn them while saving u euros).

Jeraldina, I think both sentences are correct.  I think the first one just shows more emphasis.

are correct.

But I think that the “me” in “Yo ya me sé las tablas de multiplicar” emphasizes that you t know the multiplication tables very well.  I post a comment in the group “the deep end”
