If the "me" is indeed the indirect complement of the verb congelarse and se is the direct, then shouldnt they be the other way round. i had understood that the indirect object pronoun always comes first.

i suspect that the me belongs, if anything, to estar.

Thank you for answering my question. It explains why every native Spanish speaker I know calls limes lemons when speaking English. And it looks like my favorite online diction got this one wrong.

Sí,también.Esto es algo relativo,depende del contexto.Depende de lo que quieras dar a entender.Porque pasa mucho que aunque digas : ¡Creo que voy!(segura de que vas) al final no vas en realidad,es muy latino. ;)

Puedes utilizar,en este caso,cualquiera de las dos formas.

You would say: Se me están cayendo los libros.

Wow did not know that limeades existed! In Spanish we have only one term. Limonada and we always use the green limes.

Pero durante mis estadías en Latinoamérica, aprendí que no es así. Siempre decían limón para lime. Lo que no sabia fue que lima = lemon. Gracias.

In the phrase "Se me están congelando las manos." The subject of the reflexive verb "congelarse" is "las manos." The "me" is the indirect object pronoun, referring to whom the verb is affecting.

Se me hinchan los pies. = My feet swell.

Se me ponen rojas las manos. = My hands turn red.

I think that you are thinking about when you have both an indirect and direct object pronoun in the same sentence.

Voy a ponerle un gorro a mi hijo. = Se lo voy a poner.

In this case the se comes first and acts as the indirect pronoun for mi hijo, the lo(s)/la(s) refers to the direct object pronoun and comes second.

But this is different from the use of a reflexive verb, in which case "se" does not refer to an indirect object, it's just part of the verb.

In llamarse it looks very like the direct object but in darse it could be the indirect. so is it then simply a reflexive flag or an aditional subject pronoun, a self pronoun?

I suppose if something is both subject and object then it is simultaniously both and they are effectively interchangeable so it is neither, it/they are something different, a strange loop. oh god i think my brain is melting.

am i right though that the "me" belongs to the conjugated verb estar, and congelandose is the present participle.

Acabo de regresar de Tijuana, y es verdad, las chelas viene con sal y limónes pequeños, y la gente nunca ponlos en la botella.

También, mi amigo me dijó que se llaman los limónes de los estados unidos "limón americano amarillo" or simplemente "limón americano". Pues, al menos en Tijuana.

Y probé un limonada hecho con limónes. Pensé que va ser un poco amargo, pero estuvo muy rico.

es posible usar cuando para hacer referencia al futuro sin que se use el subjuntivo. un futuro necesario o escrito, quisas cuando se hable de consequencias programados
