I think 'palooza' is there because of a play on words from the music festival 'lulapalooza' :)
In the sixties, a Minneapolis Ice Cream Vendor with about 6 stores came up with the idea of a MONSTER Sundae (ice cream with sauce topping) it featured one scoop each of the 20 or so flavors they had and they dubbed it, "The Lalapaloosa" If you managed to down a whole one in one sitting they gave you a button that said "I ate a Lalapaloosa"
Around here, large events started getting called Lalapaloosas and I think it spread from there.

(O fue solo muy bueno a no quedar atrapados) Mi prima más joven hizo mi vida muy desagradable.
