Yo empece a manejar hace 3 anos. Un taxista, el tio de mi amiga me enseñó, el me enseñó a conducir y coger un atajo de las calles tambien. Yo aprendi dos cosas para el precio de uno!

pregunta: arrancar y acelerar que no son los mismos? porque en Filipino, la palabra "arangkada" (arrancada) significa acelerar

A propósito...I have a tips for everyone: As I have huuuuge trouble with understanding spoken Spanish, I've started listening to the clips in the Expansion section while holding a paper in front of the sentences, so that my brain has to try and decipher the words before I read them. I do not remove the paper until I have the whole sentence deciphered as good as I can, and then I can look at the sentence and go "wow, I heard right!" :D The best thing would be an option to hide the Spanish sentences like it's possible with the English ones, but as it is, I think this will improve my skills somewhat. Interestingly, the other day I read that the part of your brain that learns to write and speak a second language is not the same part that learns how to understand when others speak it. Obviously, I've neglected a part of my brain!

Si, evander, yo estoy haciendo la misma cosa, porque es tan facil para leer cuando se tiene tiempo para entender y ver los frases y el gramatico. Recien, he empezar esto- veo un pelicula con audio y subtitulos en espanol (es muy bien con las peliculas para ninos, como disney y pixar cosas), y primero, veo la pelicula en espanol sin subtitulos, segundo, con subtitulos en espanol, tercero, en ingles con subtitulos en espanol, y por fin, en ingles normal. DVDs hacen aprender muy interesante y muy facil, porque muchas peliculas son hecho con otra idioma opciones. :) lol, mi favorita es "Buscando nemo!"

Evander, "Medito"? No estaba familiarizado con esta palabra y asi, yo lo busque y encontare "Meditate"... lol, you meditate while viewing movies? Es eso verdadero? Es eso un nuevo manera para aprender un otra idioma? :o)

Me gustó esta lección. Es bien práctico. Aprendí a manejar a los 15 años y saque mi licencia de conducir a los 16. He tenido unos cuantos accidentes. Vivo donde hay mucho hielo por el invierno. Una vez resbalé hasta que se volteó el carro.

I liked this lesson. It is very practical. I learned to drive when I was 15 years old y I got my driver's license when I was 15 years old. I have had a few accidents. I liver where there's a lot of ice during thie winter. One time I slid until the car rolled over.

Que espantoso. Espero que tuvieras tu cinturon puesto y que no te lastimaras. Recuerdo ir a esquiar en Jacksonville Wyoming y manejando con dos amigos muy rapido caundo resbalamos hacia un campo. Gracias adios nada malo paso pero despues de eso manejamos mucho mas despasio.

He manejado pocas veces en el hielo, pero si es peligroso. En Nuevo Mexico una ves el carro se resbalo por metros, pero no pasó nada.

Hay que tener mucho cuidado cuando se maneja.

Jeje, no. Meditar = meditate, pero también quiere decir contemplate o think about. So I'm contemplating the possibility of watching Spanish movies. :) Of course, I'm pretty newb when it comes to Spanish, so I might have pulled out an obscure use of the word meditar from my special hat of newbness, I don't know. ^^ It works for me anyway, hehe.
