Yes, girls, y’all did an awesome job. Hee-lar-ee-oussssssss! I love to see the videos and see people having fun at their job. I have to say y’all have a great concept……… making learning fun. J.P. and Leo are cool dudes, but thank GOD they weren’t in skirts. Ajajaja!
Keep up the good work, we all truly enjoy seeing you guys acting silly and enjoying your job.
Jeff (jgrob)
Las botas chamuscadoras from JP Villanueva on Vimeo. Enjoy!
Sería difícil de igualar a Ustedes.
Otra! Otra! Otra!
Well done all. otro triunfo
sadly for me the soundtrack is about 2 seconds behind the video which is a crying shame but it still looks excellent, keep up the good work. What are you going to do with the dresses now? I spotted the counting, but i thought you were being ironic :-) strange how we both published nancy sinatra translations this week.
jgrob guys in shirt dresses, thanks for that image, I didnt want breakfast anyway. :-p
donperigo:
Yeah, I just about “lost my cookies,” too. Ajajaja.

I love this video and the ladies are beautiful.
SpanishPod team
Can you please post this as an MP3 so that we can listen to it on our MP3 players or better yet as a video podcast.
stevestr:
You’re right the ladies are very beautiful in it. I think they may have a dancing career in the works. :)
Jeff (jgrob)
Life on the beach, it's not the content, it's the packaging ladies.
Nice piece.
Boots, Sugar town, that takes me back.
It was Frank's education that even good writers, his name, and Mob financing couldn´t really make Nancy have talent.
Now Esti, hey, you go girl.
quiero vuestro trabajo. ¡qué divertido!
Me encanta esta leccion. Que chistoso!
I second Stevestr's request to have this posted as an MP3 broadcast or MP4 for video. I want to be able to sing along in the car.
Gracias SpanishPod!
It's good, maybe you could do a little "Fast car" by Tracy Chapman.
A bailar, a girar
Sabes reir y vibrar
Miren bien, alli va
Como una reina ya
they made a couple of albums in spanish, wore very short skirts, and the boys can dress up too.

Si quieres hablar con nosotros este domingo o cualquier domingo, manda me una masaje o suscribe ( or is it te suscribe) a Group de Facebook “Spanish Conversation Circulo Domingo” y pon una mensaje en el mural.

I think it's just crying for the Spanishpod treatment. ¿Qué les parece?
Works for me

Dearest users,
I just found out that I am the only one in the office old enough to remember the Safety Dance, by Men Without Hats. We may have to do that song, purely as an educational service to my co-workers, who are a bunch of damn whipper-snappers....
Yes JP! you have my total support, and I would suggest Leo as the lead singer with Catherine in the role of the sidekick!
By the way great job with "Las botas chamuscadoras", fantastic actors and great Davidico! I hope one day I will be able to enter a karaoke and find this.
m.
JP - they don't know this song? Seriously? It's a classic! I agree - they need to know this song, plus what a great video it would make!
tseanr
I would call a whippersnapper a "mocoso impertinente". Mocoso means someone with mocos, which means a kid, "impertinente" means "presumptuous".
Yo proponería esa canción: "Free your Mind" de En Vogue.
I would suggest this song: "Free your Mind" by En Vogue. (Well, the truth is that I don't know whether this is the original.)
tseanr,
Normally I'm the last guy to say anything about missing accents, but "ano" = anus, so unless, you really meant to ask JP that , you'll want to write "años".
¿Cuantos años tienes?
Rodneyp,
I appreciate the correction but allow me to return the favor. I did omit something but it was not an accent. It was a tilde.
Luckily I have never mispronounced año but I have said the dreaded, "tengo hombre." Keep up the attention to detail. We can all use it.
Chon
J.P. are you kiddin’ me. I was cruzin’ the strip to “Safety Dance.”
SSSS AAAA FFFF EEEE TTTT YYYY!
Now I realize my problem, I’m a product of the 80’s “cheese.” :)
“Cause if friends don’t dance and if they don’t dance then they……… nobody will.”
Chuckle, what he @*%& was he saying?
Jeff
Estoy de acuerdo contigo, Anna 8, "My Boyfriend's Back" seria genial—not to mention the chance for both JP and Leo to play the part of the boyfriend!
"I did omit something but it was not an accent. It was a tilde."
DOH!!!! Silly me, thanks tseanr!
If we are going to do oldies, how about the Leader of the Pack?
In think that the Ladies of Praxis Language did a much better job the Nancy Sinatra. What do you think?
Steve!
THANKSSSS.
So we are thinking of maybe doing an oldie! Thanks for all your feedback!
Well at least I figured out how to link a video. "You Don't Own Me", by Leslile Gore is my suggestion for another music video.
Although I like all the other suggestions also.
ycrawf
I love this song! I didn't knew who sang it! Love it ! love it!
Hi everyone. Here is my attempt to translate the song. The lines in red are the ones that I don’t understand. I would appreciate any input/corrections.
You keep saying that you have something for me
Algo llamado amor pero confiesa ya
Something called love but confuse now
You’re getting into things that you shouldn’t
And now another is getting your best
Las botas se hicieron pa’ caminar
This boots are made for walking
Se para lo que sirven
That’s what they’re for
But one of these days we’re going to walk over you
You keep lying instead of telling the truth
And you keep losing when you shouldn’t be betting ????
Sigues igual en lugar de cambiar
You stay the same instead of changing.
The truth is the truth and you don’t know what it is
Si sigues jugando con fuego, te chamuscarás
If you keep playing with fire you’re going to get burnt
Y encima piensas que chamuscado te ves bien
Above all you think that burned you are going to be fine ????????????????
Pero ja cerillas acabo de encontrar
But ha, I just found some matches
Asi que cuidadito no te vayas a quemar
This way be carfule that you don’t get burned ¿???????????????????????
Listas botas
Read boots
A por él
For him
gracias stevestrv, now we can sing along.
Hi
I have a couple of corrections to my translation.
Algo llamado amor pero confiesa ya
Something called love but confuse confess now
¿Listas botas?
Ready boots?
Muy bien Stevester!
