"Asareje" fue inspirado por la canción "Rapper's Delight" del Sugarhill Gang. Espero que hayan recibido sus regalías...

La cancíon tonta que más me gusta es Rubber Biscuit. Prefiero la versión de Charlie Johnson, pero he puesto un link de los Blues Brothers:

me parece que la tercera línea debe ser...  porque le faltan, porque no tienen...  porque es "las'dos patitas....' que le faltan la cucaracha...  ¿sí o no?

My favorite all time childhood song, which i discovered that it was spanish was:

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=v7LOAeJzpbI&NR=1

If any one can find the english translation I would be gratefull,in the internet when you write it it gives it in spanish and translating word to word takes too much time. And how do you get the picture instead of the link???

Marti and Donperigo,

I think Marti has a point here.

(A ella) le faltan dos patitas.

But:

(Ella) no tiene dos patitas.

JP and Lili, this would have been a good opportunity to talk about the grammar of "faltar."

Spanish Pod Equipo,
Hay mucha energia buena en esta lección. Gracias a Todos!

Dentro la sección de "Expansion"  se encontra lo siguiente:

Las de atrás no, las de delante.
(The ones in the back, not the ones in front.)

¿Es un probléma aqui o no probléma? Traduzco este como ; "Not the ones in back, (but) the ones in front."

Gracias Abuelo Jack

Hi abuelojack!

After a huddle, the SpanishPod team agrees that the translation is correct. There seems to be a punctuation issue which we will address at once. Thanks!

Hi marti, you're right about the missing /n/ on "falta."  The deal is that the lyrics we presented are not the ones people usually sing; they are a swap out.  The original drug-related lyrics feature the singular subject "marijuana que fumar."

anna8, thanks for pointing out the grammar of faltar. I decided not to go into it in depth at in this lesson.  There will be others ;)

Hola donperigo.

Faltar es like gustar.

So you can think of faltar as something or things that are missing or lacking to you or to someone else or to something (a table for example)... in the same way that with gustar things are pleasing to us (we like them).

Me gusta mucho este lección porque ahora puedo cantar la cucaracha todo el tiempo y molestar mis hijos.

Solo una pregunta:

Como marti preguntó, porque no es "porque le faltan" o "porque les falta"?

Quiere decir "they are lacking to it", no?  Entonces me parece que "porque le faltan" sería correcto.

En la expansion hay la frase "Porque le faltan las patas".

Estoy confuso (otra vez).
