Tengo una preguntita: Por qué no usaron el "de" en la frase: "Me olvidé el móvil... " Yo pensé que cuando se usa la forma refexiva del verbo olvidarse... se la sigue con "de," como en la frase: No te olvidas de la cabeza..."

Debe no importar mucho. Disculpen la pregunta sobre los detalles. Siempre presto demasiada atención a los detalles!

Tengo una teoría. Por lo general, cuando una persona usa olvidarse de algo/alguien, quiere decir que es a propósito. Me olvidé de ella por ejemplo. Si una persona usa olvidar, quiere decir que es sin querer. Olvidé mi libro por ejemplo. Cuando la mujer en el dialogo dijo “Me he olvidado el móvil” ella lo olvidó sin querer y por eso no hay “de”. Y como dijo Lili, en América Latina se daría he olvidado el móvil, sin “me”. Esto solamente es mi teoría y me gustaría oír lo que dice otros.

Sabes Karena? Yo casi he dejado caer mi móvil en el retrete también. Porque antes lo llevé en un sujetador de cinturón (Sí, soy geek!) y cuando me inclinaba a tirar de la cadena (flush the toilet?) casi se me caía.

Entiendo lo que dijiste sobre el uso del reflexivo para no tomar o dar la culpa. La frase “se me cayó la taza” por ejemplo. Creo que para no dar o tomar la cupla con "olvidar" se usa "olvidársele". Encuentro verbos que puedan ser reflexivos y no reflexivos muy compilados. Creo que “olvidarse de” quiere decir "to porously forget" porque lo leí en mi libro de gramática. Voy a incluir la sección sobre Olvidar y olvidarse en todo a bajo en el color azul.

Olvidar/olvidarse (de) lovidársele algo uno

The verb means ‘to forget’ and there are four possibilities; olvidar algo, olvidarse algo, olvidarse de algo and olvidársele algo a alquien.

(a)    When deliberate forgetting is implied, the first form is rather formal and is usually replaced in colloquial styles by olvidarse de: no puedo olvidarla/no puedo olvidarme de ella ‘I can’t forget her’.

(b)    For absent-minded forgetting olvidar and olvidársele can be used, the former again being rather formal: he olvidado mi agenda/se me olvidó la agenda ‘I’ve forgotten my diary’, se le olvidaban los otros compromises, se le olvidaba todo menos ella (G. García Márquez, Col.) ‘he forgot his other commitments, he forgot everything except her’. In the latter construction the thing forgotten is the subject of the verb: se me olvidaron las flores ‘ I forgot the flowers’ (lit. ‘the flowers forgot themselves “on” me’).

(c)    Olvidarse algo (without the de) is colloquial and is censured by some grammarians, including Manuel Seco. Foreigners should probably say me he olvidado de ella or la he olvidado and not ?me la he olvidado el libro/se me olvidó el libro ‘I’ve forgotten the book’ (but, since this is absent-minded forgetting, not me he olvidado del libro). Olvidarse algo is also common in Latin America.

re: non-2nd person commands, you can, indeed use the mandato in odd forms; the English equivalent is usually with the word let:

que lo haga yo let me do it
hazlo tú you do it
hágalo (usted) you do it
que lo haga ella/él let her/him do it
hagámoslo let's do it
hacedlo do it, y'all
háganlo do it, you all
que lo hagan ellas/ellos let them do it

When you do a yo command, for example, the "let" in the English equivalent isn't exactly the "let" in "allow/permit." When you say que lo haga yo the emphasis places contrast on the yo; so another equivalent might be "I should be the one to do it (e.g., not anyone else)."
