I never thought about the difference between presentar and introducir.  If what you say is correct, THANK YOU!!!!   Using the wrong verb to introduce someone in public would be embarrassing indeed!!

I hate when I am introducing someone to a small group of people or to one other person and then the person I am introducing interrupts and starts the introduction him/herself.

]]> <![CDATA[By: ]]> Me gusta que hay una opción en español para hablar formalmente o ser respetuoso. Hay veces, sobre todo en el trabajo con mi jefe, donde deseo que puede tener la distancia que el uso de usted me daría.
I like that there is an option in Spanish to speak formally or respecfully. There are times, especially at wotk with my boss, where I wish that I had the distance that using "usted" would give me.
