Buenos días, ¿alguna vez se les ha olvidado el nombre de la persona que van a presentar?
Have you ever forget the name of the person you were going to introduce?
Una vez me pasó que de los nervios se me olvidó el nombre de mi jefe, y tuve que decir:
Les presento a mi... eh... mi... eh... jefe.
Once when I was about to introduce my boss, I was so nervous that I forgot his name, and I said:
Let me introduce you my... oh...my...oh...boss.
estibalitz, eso me pasa a menudo. Lo que suelo hacer es decirle al que yo conozco mejor, "bueno, anda, preséntate..." This happens to me all the time. What I usually do is tell the person who I know better, "well, go ahead, introduce yourself..."
Claro, eso le pasa a todo el mundo. Y si la persona que vas a presentar es educada, esa misma dice sin pausa "Soy Matilde Fresa, mucho gusto en conocerle." Sure, that happens to everyone. And if the person you're introducing is polite, she herself will say without skipping a beat, "I'm Matilde Fresa, it's a pleasure to meet you."

Eso me pasa a menudo y desde mucho tiempo. Me recuerdo que cuando era joven encontre a mi prima en una discoteca. Fue una sorpreza de encontrarla y al querer presentarle a mi novio no pude recordarme su nombre ni su apellido. Me senti muy mal pero despues fue capaz de reir de la situacion.

también, debería mencionar la diferencia entre presentar y introducir. no uses "introducir" a presentar alguién. siempre usa presentar porque introducir significa "to insert". lo sería un desastre en este contexto formal, ¿no? :/
also, i should mention the difference between presentar & introducir. don't use "introducir" to introduce someone. always use presentar, because introducir means "to insert". this would be a disaster in this formal context, right?

I never thought about the difference between presentar and introducir. If what you say is correct, THANK YOU!!!! Using the wrong verb to introduce someone in public would be embarrassing indeed!!

I hate when I am introducing someone to a small group of people or to one other person and then the person I am introducing interrupts and starts the introduction him/herself.
