What is your favorite documentary?

One of my favorites is Mundo Vino, Waiting for Superman and Food Inc.

I have 2 question based on the 'expansion' section of this lesson....

1. The fotografía section has the following sentence..'Es una fotografía a blanco y negro.'...instead of fotografía a blanco y negro, could one say fotografía en blanco y negro?

2.This question came to mind after doing the paisaje  section in expansion. Are 'bello', lindo' and 'bonita' interchangeable?

Sí, se puede decir "en" en lugar de "a" en la frase ejemplar.

me trae a la memoria la letra de Esta Soy Yo, una canción del Sueño de Morfeo:

...Dicen que soy una foto en blanco y negro Que tengo que dormir más...

Respecto a las palabras, tengo dos respuestas a tu pregunta y puedes elegir la que te guste más

1. son sinónimos (osea sí que son intercambiables)

2. justo como en los angloparlantes, los hispanohablantes tendrán una actitud más compleja hacia el uso de ciertas palabras. Piensa en las diferencias entre las palabras en inglés: beautiful, cute, pretty, good-looking, handsome etc. Se utilizan en circunstancias distintas pero tienen más o menos el mismo sentido. Pasa lo mismo en espan~ol. Por eso, en ciertas circunstancias puede que ciertas palabras no sean totalmente intercambiables.

Baraka is on Youtube, for those of us who don't have access to Marco's Blu Ray. I just watched some of it. It reminds me of another "tone poem" kind of documentary, Koyaanisqatsi. 

Creo que Planet Earth es un excelente documental. 

Pienso que "Man on Wire" es excelente, me fascinó. (¿cómo se dice "gripping"?) Prefiero documentares pero aunque me gustan no miro a muchos porque no puedo sentarme para mucho tiempo, solamente cuando la película me interesa.

I think Man on Wire is excellent, I found it fascinating, gripping. I prefer documentaries but even though I like them I don't watch many because I can't sit for long unless the movie interests me a lot.
