¿Tú tocas algun instrumento? Do you play any instruments?
Pues de niño estudiaba el piano, y en la escuela secundaria estudiaba el tambor y la percusión. Hace dos años empecé a estudiar la guitarra, pero todavía la toco muy mal. Well, as a kid I took piano, and in high school I did drums and percussion. Two years ago I started to study guitar, but I'm still really bad at it.
Yo tocaba el piano, cuando era mas joven, pero ahora, toco el tambores.

"tambores" is a plural word, so the right way to say this is: "Toco los tambores". Instead of tambores you can also say "batería", which is more common to hear between native speakers, both are correct though. I then would say: "Toco la batería"
"¿Tú sabes tocar algun instrumento?" is this saying right?

It is just the Spanish way of bracketing a question, like open and close (parenthesis) marks. ¿A dondé vas? exclamations are handled the same way. ¡Ándale!

Recientemente, se me ocurri que empecé aprender español hace muchos años cuando era mas joven y tocaba la guitarra. Mis primeras palabras españoles eran” pulgar, índice, medio, anular, rasgueado, relantando y poco a poco.
La musica tiene nombres como Granada, Sevilla o Recuerdos de la Alhambra. Me gustaban Segovia y Villalobos (NB todos son buenas temas por lecciones)

tambien me gusta la musica de bluegrass. para varias años yo tocaba la mandolin y te la recomendaría mucho. es mucho mas portátil y hace un ruido tan esplendido.

una mandolina es afinado como un violin (o una guitarra zurdo) tiene 4 cursos de dos cuerdas , pero tiene trastes, y se usa un plectro entonces sí, es como un guitarrita. necesitará dedos finos y uñas cortas
a mandolin is tuned like a violin (or a left-handed guitar) has 4 courses of two strings, but it has frets, and one uses a Plectrum so yes, it's like a small guitar. you will require thin fingers and short nails
cuando me casé fuimos a un festival de musica y yo casi gasté todo nuestra dinero para comprar una mandolina tan hermosa. compré unos muebles en su lugar. no se puede guardar tus calcetines dentro una mandolina (se amortigua el sonido)

¡ Ola a todos! Acabo de regresar de viaje este verano. Soy un músico profesional y toco el piano y canto, tanto jazz y la música clásica. Fui a España a estudiar canto clásico español como cantante. Ahora estoy preparando un concierto para el mes de noviembre titulado Spanish Rhapsody, que incluye la música de España, Argentina, Brasil y Cuba.
Me gusta todo tipo de musica. Si te gusta bluegrass, debe escuchar The Infamous Stringdusters.

Desde que Key West está demasiado lejos, tengo muchas ganas de oirte por internet con el enlace que nos lo proporcionarás.
Desafortunadamente no sé tocar algun instrumento, porque cuando era mas joven no aprendí tocar nada. Ahora es mas dificil aprender tocar alguno.
Si fuera joven otra vez, aprendería tocar el piano o la guitarra.

It's a bit tricky because the Spanish "no" usually means "not" in English: "no toco" = "I do not play"
You need the accent on the "ú" because "ningún" is emphasized on the last syllable (by default (i.e. without accent) words ending with "n", "s", or a vowel are emphasized on the last but one syllable).
