As for brand names and English words, in Mexico I hear 'cheeps' for chips and rooflays for Ruffles. Pepto Beesmo is another.

Wow. I'm a returning learning Spanish after years of being out of school. I've been noticing that words or phrases that I took to be jokes are actual words or phrases in Spanish. I still remember times sitting around with Spanish speaking friends and pronouncing product names in Spanish and laughing together. I remember talking about Gatorade. I've even taken El ratón as a funny for the computer mouse. The rolling r and the empasis on the tón just makes it joke like to my gringo ears. I just translated rat for the first time and found la rata.

I feel kind of silly now. Oh well. 8D
