Lesson Introduction
You might call it Indigenous People's Day, Día de la Raza, Día de las Culturas... heck, you might even call it Columbus Day... but in Spain, it's Día de la Hispanidad, and it's the big national holiday. In the big podcast today, we'll have a lesson about this very special day, and we'll learn what you can expect as an aspiring learner if you're lucky enough to be in the Spanish capital on this day.

En el expansión, se tradujo "Por qué habrán cerrado el súper?" como why "would" the store be closed. Pero, habrán es en el tiempo futuro, no? Entonces el español debe ser "Por qué habirán cerrado el súper? o el trudución debe ser: Why will they close the store?

Tu pregunta es difícil, pero tengo un teoría pero no estoy seguro. ¿recuerdas que se usa la tensa futura para expresar probabilidad, por ejemplo “tendrás hambre” – you must be hungry? Creo que se puede usar la tensa futura con una palabra de pregunta, “por qué” por ejemplo, para hacer una pregunta. Aquí tienes una ejemplo de Intro2Spanish.com “¿Qué hora será?” – “What time might it be?”
Your question is a hard one, but I have a theory, although I am not sure. Remember that you can use the future tense to express probability for example, “tendrás hambre” – you must be hungry? I think that you can use the future tense with a question word, por qué for example, to ask a question. Here you have an example from Intro2Spanish.com “¿Qué hora será?” – “What time might it be?”

Felíz día de la Raza! Este día en México pasan muchos programas de historia, de nuestros antepasados es muy interesante. Los mexicanos somos considerados mestizos, una mezcla indígena y de europeos.

Visité San Cristóbal de Las Casas en Mexico el año pasado. Allá hay comunidades indígenas y es fascinante ver como se han mantenido sus costumbres. Hay iglesias que parecen muy tradicional en el exterior, pero adentro se puede observar algunas costumbres de los indigenous que son muy únicos.

Me gusta la palabra "Estadounidense" tanto que (?) en mis conversaciones en líneas digo, "USian" (pronuniciado "United Statesian").
El desfile lo darán por la tarde.
(They'll show the parade on television.)
Shouldn't this be "por la tele"?
