Our friend Félix, a Cuban national and musician extraordinaire, joins Esti and Lili in Studio Fiesta to talk about Cuban culture, including slang, music, and life in the island nation. This is the second part of a two-part series with Félix. In this episode, the girls manage to talk him into singing them a song.

This is the Part II we've all been waiting for. Félix talks about the the tough economic situation for Cuban people. Later, the girls find him a guitar, and he sings "Dos gardenias." This might be my favorite Del taco al tango ever!

Qué rico! Me gustan mucho los Del taco al tango, especialmente cuando el dialogo es en espanol. Es interesante aprender cosas tipicas sobre la cultura, la economia y las particularidades del idioma de cada pais latino.Te agradesco Felix la cancion de las dos gardenias. No la conocia y me ha gustado mucho.Espero que Liliana y Esti te invitaran otra vez.

La canción de "Dos gardenias" es una de mis favoritas. Es una canción muy romántica y muy famosa en todos los países hispanoparlantes.

La canción Dos Gardenias me dio "piel de pollo." Que rico! tiene esa expresión en español cuando algo se da "goose bumps or chicken skin"?

kikuyu Se dice "piel de gallina" pero estabas cerca! A mi tambien se me pone la "piel chinita". Esta es otra manera de decir "goose bumps".

Gracias por otro programa buenisimo. Me gusta mucho cuando hablan totalmente en espanol; se puede oir una charla y los acentos muy 'naturales'. Y a mi tambien me encanta la cancion 'Dos Gardenias'. Hasta ahora solo la he oido cantada por el Buena Vista Social Club. La version de Felix me parece mas conmovedora.

gracias por el video, Lili! Me gustan mucho los senores del Buena Vista. Son mayores de edad, pero tienen mucha energia. Es agradable ver cantantes como ellos, porque en nuestros tiempos la mayoria de los cantantes es la gente muy joven, que hace mucho ruido y casi no lleva ningun vestido. ;)
