Question of the day:

How often do you ask your kids to clean up their rooms?

Did your parents or your spouse also asked you to clean?

¿Qué tan frecuente le piden a sus hijos que limpien su cuarto?

¿Qué tan frecuente sus padres les pedían que limpiaran su cuarto?

Yo siempre he sido muy ordenada y no había necesidad de que me pidieran limpiar mi cuarto.

Soy una obsesiva de la limpieza. LO ACEPTO!! There it is out in the open I am a neat freak!

Thanks for another elementary lesson, this is probably not too hard for me but I am wondering if you have a lesson to direct me to for understanding things like why the verb "tirar" becomes "tiras" and stuff like that. I kinda understand that the "root" form of the verb is "tirar" and that "tiras" is simply the way it is used in that particular context.. but I'm not clear on why. I'm sure you would have had lessons or maybe ¿Que pasa? shows on such subjects as this but I'm not sure what I should be searching for. So any assistance in locating this information would be great.

How do you call someone a "neat freak" ? :)

Gracias!!

All Spanish verbs have standard (more or less) conjugation rules. A search in Google for Spanish verb conjugations will turn up dozens of sites that teach you the conjugation rules for each set of verbs, AR, IR and ER.

Hola light487,

In addition you might be interested in the series La Clave, especially in the first lessons that talk about forming the present tense. Here's the link to that channel: http://spanishpod.com/lessons/channels/list/la+clave

I don't understand tirado. Is that a tense of the verb tirar?
