Hello Elementary Friends!
The Question of the Day:
Do you have a favorite holiday tradition?
Although we are not Christian, our family gathers every year for dinner and a talent show.
I enjoy listening to the hand bell choirs at church.
What is the difference between campana and timbre?
Would hand bells be campana de mano?
Also, the choir I sing in is singing a Spanish song this year -- "Los pastores a Belén" which is pretty cool to sing in Spanish -- the first verse:
Los pastores a Belén corren presurosos.
Llevan de tanto correr los zapatos rotos.
Ay! que alegres van, Ay! Sí volverán,
Con la pan, pan, pan. Con la de, de, de,
Con la de, con la pandereta
y las castañuelas!
(although we might not get to sing -- since the Pacific Northwest is having a blizzard. JP -- arn't you're glad you're not in Seattle!)
gbfowler, I am so homesick right now, I could go home and never look back! But that would be irresponsible. Hope you did your grocery shopping, happy snow day(s). :)
Please add some pronunciation tips in the future lessons. Thanks.
Feliz navidad to everyone.
