Estoy de acuerdo.
Tuve un clase de español por teléfono por dos años, y sí fue bien dificíl aveces, me cuesta muchisimo.
Por suerte, no tengo que hablar mucho por teléfono, pero no esta mal si tienes una buena conexíon, con un teléfono fijo, por ejemplo. Pero si hablas por celular y la conexíon esta mal, ¡ay dios mio!
Todavía no, pero mi meta es empezar de hacer mis llamadas al servicio de atención al cliente en español. Voy a empezar con cosas sencillos, como revisando mi saldo de cuenta de cheques.
De hecho, tengo que llamar un hotel en Tijuana para confirmar mi reservacíon y pagarla.
No entiendo completamente la explicación sobre "re" -- ¿es parte del verbo? como reinisiar? o palabra aparte? No pude encontrarlo en el diccionario.

La palabra es reiniciar, con -c-, no con -s-. A lo mejor es por eso que no se encuentra en el diccionario. El re- es un prefijo, lo mismo como en inglés: por ejemple, restart, reform, reinstate. Quiere decir "otra vez".
Lo interesante es que el prefijo re- también tiene otro significativo únicamente latino-americano (o eso es lo que creo yo). Se puede decir:
¡Qué chula estás!/ Estás rechula! Estás relinda!
Aquí el prefijo quiere decir "muy" (very cute, very beautiful). Puedes usarlo antes de varios adjetivos.
También he oído "rete-" y "requete-": Retechula, requetebien ( rete chula, requete bien -- No sé como escriberlos. Son rete coloquiales) :)
hola anna8, gracias por la ayuda. En realidad no escribí correctamente en el mensaje arriba. Busqué "reiniciar" y no la encontré en wordreference.com (el diccionario principal para mí). Hoy encontré en el sitio un mensaje publicado que explica que reiniciar significa reboot. Quizás es una palabrar bastante nueva que todavía no hay una palabra oficial en wordreference.com.
A mí me gusta mucho este uso de "re" ... creo que voy a usarla mucho. ¡Hoy es un día relindo por seguro!

Ah, claro, te entiendo! Y pues, sí, re-, rete-, y requete- significan lo mismo, más o menos. Tal vez: muy, muuuy, y muuuuuuuuy :)
Por casualidad, acabo de encontrar 'requete-' con el adverbio 'lejos' en la novela "La Reina del Sur". Se dice:
"...que (yo) estaba requetelejos de Culiacán."
Entonces, se puede escribir el prefijo+adv/adj como una sola palabra.

Tambien tengo una pregunta sobre la parte de expansion. Donde se dice:
Ese pescado no puede congelarse. (You can't freeze that fish.)
Yo pensaría que sería "Ese pescado no SE puede congelarse." porque to form the type of impersonal statements we make all the time in English like "YOU can't freeze the fish" where "YOU" does not refer to a particular person, but rather to people in general (YOU could also be substituted with ONE), in Spanish one (here it is again) has to throw in the word "SE". Thoughts?
woops - i guess that question didn't post. Trying again. I would have thought that this sentence would be "Ese pescade no SE puede congelarse." (You can't freeze this fish.) because when you want to make this kind of impersonal statement where "you" does not refer to a particular person, but to people in general, you (i.e. English speakers) have to add "SE". Thoughts?
Estoy de acuerdo, es muy difícil a hablar por teléfono en español. Creo que esta dificultad no es imaginaria. En un curso de conversación tuvimos dos clases para practicar conversación por teléfono. Leí que miramos los labios mucho cuando escuchamos ... quizás por eso conversación por teléfono es "redifícil".

Here you're not saying "you" can't freeze that fish.
You're saying "that" fish can't be frozen.
Which yeah, in English translates to "you can't feeze that fish" but it's not said the same in Spanish.Ese pescado no se puede congelar.Ese pescado no puede congelarse.
Congelarse referiendose al pescado.
You could say ese pescado no lo puedes/puede congelar but I don't think it would sound as natural, maybe depending on the situation and context it would be ok.
