I think I have heard people sing out, "Bajan!" but I'm not sure.
In Ecuador we just yell out "GRACIAS!!!!" and hope the bus comes to a stop because sometimes they will just pass your stop!

En Bolivia, siempre tomaba un trufi a la escuela.
En Guatemala, tomábamos un tuk-tuk al centro.
En Bolivia, en La Paz es increible, puedes subir y bajar del autobus en cualquiera esquina quieres (de la ruta obviamente!). Solo tienes que gritar 'Voy a bajar por favor' o ' A la esquina, por favor'. Pasó mucho tiempo antes de que tenía la confianza gritar en voz alto, pero despues, me encantó viajar por trufis...! Y puedes creerlo - estamos en el trufi y un ladron se robó las gafas de una mujer pobrecita por la ventana abierta del trufi - de su nariz!!!!
¡Qué bueno! No conozco a muchas personas que hayan pasado tiempo en Bolivia. ¿Qué hiciste allí? ¿Estuviste viviendo, viajando, estudiando...? A mi, me encantó Bolivia. Cuando yo estuve allí, no existía muchas huellas de influencia estadounidense. Por ejemplo, apenas empezaron a construir en LaPaz el primer McDonalds. Es probable que mucho haya cambiado.

Buena foto! Si no me equivoco, ese es el terminal de buses en Quito. Esos buses son de larga distancia, mientras que los buses "urbanos" son distintos.

Si no me equivoco, bus es de «omnibus», el cual es como decir «para todos» en latín. Es por eso decimos «ómnibus» en castellano y «bus» en inglés.
