Is translated as

“Okay men, handcuff them and put them in my patrol car so that I can take them to the police station”.

It seems to me that hacer should be in the subjunctive and the phrase should be que yo me haga cargo,  since it is not a fact that the speaker has taken charge of taking them to the police station.

If para que was used instead of que wouldn’t it be Para que yo me haga cargo? 

Can you please tell me why this is different?

Could you explain this phrase from the dialogue and its PDF translation?

...para que luego me digas que no pienso, chipirona (and you tell me I don't think, squid)

I can't quite wrap my mind around this -- I keep wanting to add another "no" as in:

...para que luego no me digas que no pienso (so that later you won't tell me that I don't think)

Stevestrv, in the sentence you quote above, I think the "que" is one of those "porque" type or "es que" "ques" that just keep the sentence going. That type of "que" is followed by an indicative, I think.

So "me hago cargo" is a present indicative with a simple future meaning: "I'll take care of..."  The translation is a little loose, I agree.

I write my comments in MS Word and I guess the font was set to a large size when I copied text from the PDF of the dialog. I didn’t notice how large the text was.   I was not trying to be indiscreet and it seems to me that it is ridiculous to criticize the fonts used in a comment.

Bien hecho Esti! Yo nunca habría adivinada que ésta historia terminaría de esta manera.  Me gustan los finales con sorpresa.

I am sorry that I over reacted to your comment about my font.  It is no excuse but it was 3:00AM and I was tiered and cranky.  Besides I might be a little sensitive because I use a large font size to compensate for other short comings.

Stevestrv, I'm very sorry.  I guess I was struck by the font size because it was so uncharacteristic of you -- I thought it was evil gremlins in your computer doing you dirty -- you know the kind of thing that happens here when somebody's message gets posted four times in a row or all the formatting garbage hitches a ride (or the font is much smaller or larger than intended).  I wasn't criticizing you at all, just making what was evidently a rather lame attempt at a joke.

Upon further reflection, I'd like to change my English translation: 

"Ok, kids, cuff 'em and put 'em in my patrol car, 'coz I'm bringing them into the station."

That "que" there is just a throw-away "que," Latinos often introduce independent clauses with that "que" rather than pause (a written comma) or use some kind of conjunction.  You can think of it as a shortened form of "es que" or "porque."

Grammatically, this thow-away "que" is acting like a clause marker; you can start ANY sentence in Spanish with a "que," and you may have met some people who do. 

Anyway, I think some of the confusion was caused by my original English translation, which I now amend.  The Spanish version does not contain any subjuctive triggers.

Lo que no nos dice Esti es que hay otro capítulo de esta historia.....

.....¡Rumbo a México!  Pero en realidad Alberto no los lleva a México.  En cambio, los lleva a un almacén (warehouse?) oscuro y vacío en el lado viejo de la ciudad.  Los conduce adentro y en medio del almacén hay un solo hombre en trinchera (trenchcoat?)....y con una ametralladora (machine gun?).  (Interpretado por Gael García, por supuesto.)

Resulta que el hombre de trinchera había planeado todo.  El despido de trabajo.....trinchera.  Las niñas con los pasamontañas rosas.....trinchera.  El coche que no arranca.....trinchera.  

El hombre misterioso toma todo el dinero, da parte a Alberto, y los dos desaparecen al noche oscuro.  ¿Y los chipirones?  Acaban en el mismo lugar donde empezaron:  embarazada y sin dinero.  

O sea, hasta la continuación.....Barbie Devuelve el Golpe (Barbie Strikes Back?).
