¿A menudo encuentran personas amables que les brindan ayuda en la calle?
Yo sí, por ejemplo,cuando pregunto alguna dirección o información.
I do,when I ask about some direction or information.
A mi me gusta cuando los hombres se ofrecen a cargar las bolsas. Qué caballerosos! No me juzguen soy anticuada, me gusta la caballerosidad.

Una vez fui a Soriana a comprar comida para la semana, pero no me alcanzó para un taxi, asi que regresé a casa caminando, con 6 bolsas de comida en pleno verano. Y se me rompieron, claro...comida por todas partes. Mientras recogía las latas de jalapeños de la calle, un señor se detuvo a ayudarme.
One time I went to Soriana to buy groceries for the week, but I didn't have enough money for the taxi, so I walked home with 6 bags of food in the middle of summer. And they broke, of course...food everywhere. While I was picking the cans of jalapeños up off the street, a man stopped to help me.

A mí me sucedió algo una vez.Estaba en casa de una amiga que organizaba una Venta de Garaje,entonces yo la ayudé a colocar los carteles en las aceras.Tuve que caminar un poco con una caja llena de piedras y carteles,cuando llegué a una de las esquinas de la avenida puse el primer cartel y lo fijé con varias piedras.Terminado éste me trasladé hacia otra esquina,en eso viene un Señor hacia mí y me dije :¡Qué bueno seguramente viene a ofrecerme su ayuda!. Cuando escuché que me preguntó: ¿Qué vendes ahí? ¿Aguacates? Ja ja ja...¡No le pude responderle de la risa!
¡Jajaja qué chistoso! Tal vez las piedras parecían aguacates no maduros, quién sabe...
¡A lo mejor! Ja ja ja.
Me hubiera gustado responderle:No Señor, no vendo aguacates,pero una ayudita con esta caja no estaría nada mal.
Why the informal "ayudas"? To whom would we be speaking that we would use this form. Is this used with a grocery store bagger, for example.
Yeah, the bagger is younger than the customer in this case. She has no problem using tu with him.
I guess my question is whether the tu form is used with household servants, or with service employees -- waiters, ticket agents, etc.

La traducción correcta es "Can you weigh this fruit for me?"
