Wouldn't "¿Hueles a coliflor?" mean "You smell of cauliflower"? Wouldn't "Do you smell cauliflower?" be translated as "¿Hueles la coliflor"?

Hola jaimemayo. Yeah, that's what she asked him...kind of like "is that cauliflower I smell on you"? but she says it "do you smell like cauliflower"? So he's like "yeah, that's what I'm eating".

"Hueles a coliflor" can mean "Do you smell cauliflower" as well as "You smell like cauliflower." Emphasis and intonation help determine the meaning.

Me da pa´atras is mostly used in Spain. In México we would say something like, me da ñañaras, me da asco.

se me hace que en este diálogo hay más de un ejemplo que no usaron el subjunctivo donde normalmente se lo utilizaría:
ella se empeñada en que debía (debiera) aprender a comer de todo
me decía que si no me la comía (comiera) pues la tendría para cenar...

Estoy bastante tarde para esta lección, pero tengo que decir que a mi me encanta la coliflor, especialmente la coliflor bien asada con un poco de parmigiano reggiano. Mmmmmm!
Estoy de acuerdo con Alma - me gusta mucho la coliflor y mi favorito es coliflor con salsa de quesa.
Aquí es un cuy que comí durante mi viaje a Ecuador en 1997. Me sentí un poco malo, pero fue menos bonito sin el piel. Recuerdo que fue un poco aceitoso, pero no me dio asco. Lo que me da asco es el carne procesosa que se llama "olive loaf".

kikuyu, I saw that, too. I believe Standard Spanish would call for subjunctive in both of those cases, but this is a case of native non-standard speech. Don't let it shake you; the fact that you noticed it means that your level is good enough to handle this. :)
