Ok, I gotta tell you guys, I speak with a lot of Mexicans, and I've never heard "qué pasa" said like this, is it supposed to be kind of like "wazzzzuuuuuppppppppp"?   Sorry for the rant, just always has bugged me.

As far as the show goes, this was a good one, really insightful stuff from you guys regarding terms and traveling, cool.  I love how Marco stays full American even when pronouncing Ecuador, so cool how effortless he switches.

Water closet is used in the U.S. in architecture and design...and always begs the question...like... what's that?

marco    I suspect lilli has dibs on the music show idea but if you fancy hosting a movie review show (mainstream as well as arthouse) ill be more than happy to listen.  for a more overtly educational program one can ususally find a dubbed trailer of the big films perhaps we could analyse  the dialogue

how about a lesson on spanish acronyms e.g. what are the equivalents to LOL SWALK NORWICH ROTFL IMHO etc.

A few years back I encountered a discussion about home computers where people thought that the word Amiga was a technical acronym so I suggested.

"Laser" es una palabra muy interesante de verdad. En este momento no puedo pensar en otras palabras inglesas que empezaron por acrónimo pero al final se volvieron por usar como si fueran simplemente una palabra.  (p.e. toda la gente que yo conozco escriba "laser", pero "SCUBA" -- todavía tratan "SCUBA" como acrónimo pero no "laser".)

"Laser" is a very interesting word, actually. At the moment I can't think of any other English words that began as acronyms but ended up being used as if they were just a word. (For example, everyone I know writes "laser", but "SCUBA" -- they still treat "SCUBA" as an acronym, but not "laser".)

Y Marco, también creo que debes tener tu proprio... uh... exposición? espectáculo? :)

And Marco, I also think you should have your own show... however you say "show" in this context in Spanish.  ;)
