I have 3 comments/questions about this lesson. First is about “esos champiñones” and “este cilantro”. Because “esos” and “este” precede a noun, are they not demonstrative adjectives rather than demonstrative pronouns has you mention in the lesson?

 

Secondly in the vocabulary section whenever I put my cursor over the word “son” it said it was a noun. It should be a verb.

 

Thirdly in the expansion section in the sentence “Mi bolsillo está vacío, necesito un (mejor) trabajo. I did not hear the word “mejor”, but something else, which I cannot make out. Am I wrong?

My husband and I recently attended my brother-in-law’s wedding and we were part of the bridal table. Before sitting down for supper, we stood in line in front of our table while every guest presented themselves to us. Though we knew everybody from my husband’s side of the family, we only knew a few from the bride’s family.  As well we did not know all of my brother-in-law’s friends.  There were so many new faces we could not remember them all.

I noticed that when you put the cursor on a word it did not give the masculine form for a noun or an adjective and the infinitive form for a verb. I hope you will revert to doing this as I found it very useful, especially for verbs.

What a great and appropriate lesson!  Now that I am retired (since July 18) my first objective will be to reach and maintain a healthy weight.  I have joined "Minçavie". I jot down everything that I eat on my weekly sheet and blacken the blocks for my alloted portions and physical activities. I get weighed once a week and stay for the conferences.  What I like about this program is that it is based on the Canadian Food Guide and the numerous cookbooks have great recipes. Their website also has good tips.

I like to read the books by Kathleen O’Neal Gear and W. Michael Gear.  Presently I am trying to read “La Tribu de la Niebla” in Spanish. In the vocabulary section we have "in franti = red-handed", but in the expansion we have "in fraganti".  I verified with my Larousse Espagnol and it says that "in fraganti" means "en flagrant délit" in French.  So I believe this is the correct spelling, i.e. "in fraganti" means "red-handed".

But here what I did not get is actually "he flipped me off". Since English is not my first language I did not quite understand the meaning of this phrase. I would appreciate if you could expand on it as it will help me understand the Spanish equivalent as well. Thank you.

Interesting lesson as usual. When I have hiccups I wait for a hiccup and just after I take a deep breath and try to hold my breath for as long as possible. I may have to do it a few times, but it usually gets rid of my hiccups.
