This is the first book that I am trying to read in Spanish.<br /><br />I belong to the book club &ldquo;Qu&eacute;bec Loisir&rdquo; so I purchase a variety of books, mysteries, suspense, romantic novels, historical novels, etc. These are all in French, my mother tongue.<br /><br />Presently I am reading everything concerned with XVII century France as I want to figure out why my ancestors left France to come to Canada. I am reading &ldquo;La soci&eacute;t&eacute; fran&ccedil;aise au XVIIe si&egrave;cle&rdquo; by Michel Verg&eacute;-Franceshi.<br /></p>

Since English is not my first language I did not quite understand the meaning of this phrase. I would appreciate if you could expand on it as it will help me understand the Spanish equivalent as well. Thank you.</p>
<p>Also you will notice that I was finally able to add a picture of myself. It was taken at Chichen Itza last February when I visited Playa del Carmen, Mexico.</p>

Cuando tengo hipos espero un hipo y s&oacute;lo despu&eacute;s de que respiro hondo y trato de sostener mi aliento mientras posible. Yo deber&iacute;a hacerlo unas veces, pero esto por lo general se deshace de mis hipos.</p>
