I especially try not to read the posts in Spanish here, because I tend to remember what I read, and I think I'd pick up a lot of mistakes!! No offense to anybody - it just doesn't seem like a good idea!

"...aun sigo dudando si tener un parto natural o no" is translated, "...I still doubt if it's going to be a natural delivery or not". I've never heard the English word "doubt" used that way - we'd say, "I still haven't decided if.." or "I'm still not sure if..."

Also, I hope nobody ever gets "abdominal legions" since that would mean that they had "a large military force" in their abdomen! That would be even worse than "lesions"!!

Cheers,

You told us what "hacer falta" means, and I think you gave the examples: "Me hace falta una naranja" and "Me hacen falta unas naranjas". So (unless I heard wrong) what is the verb "hace" agreeing with? Is it like "Me gusta..." and so means "Oranges are lacking for me" or something??

Straighten me out, please! :-) Thanks in advance!

I have a vocabulary question! I don't know which of these words to use when: lindo/a, hermoso/a, bonito/a, guapo/a. I'm confused about which words are commonly used to describe a person, and which are commonly used to describe things. And I don't feel sure what the shades of meanings are - cute? pretty? beautiful? gorgeous? hot?

I would love to hear this discussed, I mean argued, on a Pa' Que Sepas (my favorite thing about SpanishPod)! But I appreciate any enlightenment you can offer!

Gracias,
