<p>The Newbie and Elementary lessons are great for others but I usually only get use out of Intermediate and above.</p>
<p>As soon as my subscriptions posts I'll check out cooking with tabasco!</p>

<p>It reminds me of my time in Marbella and Maribel's Malaguenya accent took me back :)</p>
<p>I found the accent difficult to understand at first but now it sounds borderline comforting. Ditto with a standard Spanish accent from my time in Salamanca. Which, incidentally, JP mentioned several lessons back with his, rather astute, observation of the doubling up of vale. Vale vale.</p>
<p>Btw, I found that Spaniards used 'chulo' similarly to the way Americans use pimp. It can be negative or positive depending on the context so I was surprised by Esti and Maribel's response that for them it was largely negative.</p>
<p>Por ejemplo, una vez un chico de Andorra le dijo a un hombre que estaba sentando a su lado,&nbsp; con un tripod numatico "que chulo tio!"</p>
<p>It struck me as the most Spanish phrase ever :-P</p>
