Hi Donperigo

I just get confused with the whole thing you asked:

"Do students of english as second language have even one class on subjunctive in english"?

I went to school a long time ago in the UK and we were not taught grammer at all! 42 in a class no time for students to keep up, so we were left behind. Now I want to learn more but really struggle with verbs, nouns, adverbs etc. I have been studying Spanish now for 3 years and I'm still at it and still frustrated. However, I must say Spanishpod is helping me understand the minefield of language. Hopefully I will grasp it one day.
