You're correct, verb endings only depend on whether you are talking to a 1st, 2nd or 3rd person (singular or plural).

The absense of the 'th' on c's and z's is found in latin america. You will find the 'th' sound spoken in spain.

Mi banda favorita es the mars volta. No se conocen mucho, pero su musica es tan differente y original de los demás. yo creo que su baterísta es uno de los mejores del mundo también, lo he conocido dos veces despues de los conciertos.

Good idea for a new book read. I might have a try although it may be a bit difficult for me. If were talking about evolution however I suggest the book "the selfish gene" by Richard Dawkins, it's one of the best books on the subject easily.

Spanishlearners, I hear what you are saying, but drug legalization does have it's pros. (remember I'm not talking about hard drugs, only marijuana, that's important) the legalization would crush gangs who deal it, which would free up a lot of police work, jails are overcrowded as it is, so the jail space could be saved for 'real' criminals, also it has gotta have a positive financial effect on the economy. The new California marijuana bill hopes to gain in excess of 1 billion dollars/year.

I'm totally with you donperigo. There are so few Spanish people in England, any 'practice' is pretty much non existant around here. Saying that though, I was in camden town in London yesterday, and that has such a big Spanish community. I even ordered some peaella from a peaella stall.

Hola snkscore,

Others may be able to explain it better, but I'm pretty sure that 'frente a' translates to 'in front', as in directly infront of someone or something, while 'enfrente de' translates to 'across from', or 'opposite to'.
Think of 'frente a' referring to a front garden of a house, and 'enfrente de' reffering to across the road.

Hola bababardwan, I would stay away from online translators unless it's just the general idea of a sentance You are trying to work out, as for online dictionaries, www.wordreference.com is probably the best you will come across. Your Spanish doesn't have to be perfect when you enter a discussion, this is a site for learning afterall, and you'll find a lot of people here that are happy to give you corrections or suggestions, and that way you learn!

Mi viejo profesor de batería le gustaba mucho el mambo, y me enseñaba canciónes de por ejemplo Tito Puente, ¡eran dificiles! pasan muchas muchas cosas al mismo tiempo.
