Thanks for your comments. I also want to thank Anna8 for creating this group. We definitely need to know what the users think about our product to be able to prioritize and concentrate our efforts on what matters the most to our users.

I want to apologize for this error being unsolved for so long. You might know how politics work in corporate companies. In this case, we were not getting the resources necessary to deal with this kind of bugs. Other projects around the company were consuming all the TTD's time. Suppossely we will get this problem solved soon.

I had it in mind to do this a few months back but I’ve been living in hope of praxis doing the right thing as part of the switchover to a more commercial basis. I fully applaud your motives and i really don’t wish to be an aguafiestas but IMHO this really is something that should come from the supplier and, i suspect it will require some serious participation on their part to make it work. i guess you have a  structure like this in mind

un lugar para todo y todo en su lugar. a nice one stop point of contact for the tec team . it keeps the lesson conversations “on topic” and has the huge advantage that people can see if their bug has been reported and we can all see when problems are resolved. theres no reason why the tec team couldnt post their own threads to keep us informed of major works and improvements.

 the main obstacle is going to be getting users to post here. this may only be my opinion but many apects of this site are confusing for newcomers and they end up  posting anywhere out of desperation. I have had many a newbie send me private messages because presumably they’ve clicked on my avatar in order to respond to one of my posts. (not a complaint btw, come one come all ) 

In order to report a bug the user will have to find the groups tab then the help group then join the group (now much easier thankyou tec team) now they need to find the editor on the my posts tab and  assign the post to the help group using the drop down list. Granted, Its not rocket science but if you are new to the site it may not be an obvious path. I suspect Praxis support will point out that people can always email them directly.
 

one thing that would give a huge boost the group/buglist concept would be if they could add one of those windows that sit to one side of the main conversation (the ones that say "start your own group" " my account"  etc) only it said click here to report problems, or something along those lines. this link would take you directly to the help group list.  At the bottom of the list would be an editor entitled report new bug/problem here . this would lead the newbie straight to the right place to report a problem and give them the means to do so without requiring unique site knowledge.
