Summer in Chicago is exciting - food fests and music fests abound. I know it's not happening for a while yet, but I'd like to mention the ¡Viva! Chicago Latin Music Festival, which takes place each year Grant Park.

Dates: August 23-24, 2008

Place: Grant Park (Colombus and Jackson)

Hello everyone,

I've been planning on taking Spanish classes abroad to further my skills in the language (and to have an awesome time seeing another country, immersing myself, having a unique and fun experience, among other things).

I've decided to go to Argentina, Buenos Aires in particular, to study Spanish.  I'm arriving on the 5th of December, 2008.  I've looked into many schools and have narrowed it down to: Interhispanica, Español al Sur, EBA Trust, and Mundo Español.  As well I'm planning on doing a homestay for at least the first 2 or 3 weeks.

My question is, does anyone out there have any advice or suggestions, or comments?  Any helpful info is welcome.  I've never done a homestay before, and all the info I have on these schools is research and cross-comparison.  I've also never been to South America before.

I welcome any tips, suggestions, or anything you have to offer at all!

I'd just like to thank Spanishpod for helping me improve before I go, so I have less of a shock and more of a base to improve upon.
