There's a great site out there, not a competitor to SPod, but a great complement to it.  It's called edufire.com and tonight, one of the best Spanish teachers, Enrique Kates, is launching a FREE conversation class.  It starts at 8pm Wisconsin time (you'll have to figure out what time that is for you!) To sign up, just go to Edufire.com, register as a user and then enroll in this class:

Enrique is planning a series of four weekly hour-long sessions for intermediate level and above.  He asks people to call him on Skype before signing on so he can assess your conversational level and make sure you end up in the right group.

Normally, I would be in the class and I hope I can join it next week, but tonight I have a date:-)

Anyway, right now the class is wide open because Enrique just created it, but that could change very quickly.  So if you are interested, do have a look.

Even if you can't make it to tonight's class, do check out Edufire.  I've been a member for about a month and I still can't believe how incredibly valuable -- and how underused -- it is.  What I'd love to see would be a session offered by a Spod team member offered now and then on Edufire.  It would be a way to promote both sites and would so helpful to us learners.
