No problem here (with Firefox on a Mac ;).
I guess it's my turn today: all pages seem to take between five and ten seconds to load. Sometimes even longer ...
Right now, each page takes about half a minute to load. I guess I'll come back later ...
martinillo,
I noticed that this has been happening lately. Do you think it is a traffic problem?
kikuyu,
I guess you are right and this is a traffic problem. My pet theory is that it is a kind of cyberspace attack from the Ukraine. :)
Here is why: according to alexa.com the spanishpod site has a traffic rank of about 17,500 in the Ukraine, which is ridiculous high compared to the ranks in other countries (United Kingdom: 93,000; China: 114,000; Canada: 128,000; USA: 219,000; Mexico: 225,000; ...) Why should lots of people from the Ukraine learn Spanish with SpanishPod? Actually, if I do a google search for web sites in the Ukraine mentioning SpanishPod with "site:.ua spanishpod" I get zero hits! Thus, obviously SpanishPod isn't that popular in the Ukraine.
Now, if I do a google search for SpanishPod on Russian web sites, one of the first hits is "torrents.ru". :) In fact, I don't think that this traffic problem is caused by human beings; rather I guess that it's caused by bots (programs) which automatically download the content of the SpanishPod site. Maybe they do it at specific times and thus cause all this traffic for a while.
Well, again, this is just my pet theory, don't take it too seriously! The tech team at PraxisLanguage should know better because they use GoogleAnalytics to monitor the web traffic.
The website has been super slow the last 24 hours and the time noted after we post a comment is also off by 7 or 8 hours.
This has happend in star trek a few times, the soltion is to implode the antimatter conversion matrix manifold using 7 of nines nanoprobes
if i can load a page in under five seconds i am pleased. did anyone else notice the site was down all monday night (GMT) presumably for 7 hours which would explain the time warp
or they could just put the clock right
aaaaaaaaaaaaaaarrrrrrrrggggghhh
