russhuntley - The Latin Ear
I have a question...to ask particularly of Leo & Lili and to Esti.
What, if any, accents sound appealing or sexy when spoken in Spanish.
I know I like English spoken with an Italian or Spanish (Mexican or Carribean) accent. They sound sexy in English. I also enjoy Irish, Scottish & Russian accents. My wife likes Iberian Spanish (think Antonio Banderas). There are also probably accents that aren't as pleasing to the ear.
Does this phenomena happen in the Native Spanish speaking community?
Inquiring minds want to know :)
Thanks

You mean the way a "plum" British accent just "reeks" of authority here in the states?
It sounds so refined, they must know what they are talking about. (lol)

Spanish in a French or German or Australian accent etc. Do any sound "good", sexy, unpleasant, grating, etc
I was studying Spanish in Antigua Guatemala and there were a lot of students from Quebec. I have to say, Spanish with a French accent sounded very funny to my English ears, but I am sure my Spanish sounded funny to them.
Good question, I have never really thought about this.
