hypersport - Itunes and the feed
Hey guys, in my feed settings, I have everything checked. But when I go to Itunes, there is a very limited amount of the lessons available to me. Some of them are already there, and I can put them in my Ipod. Others say "get" and when I click on that, I get an exclamation mark and I can't get the lesson.
Also, I should be able to see all of the lessons, yeah? Something like 243 I believe, but there's only about 20 and this includes shows too like Del Taco and Pa Que Sepas, etc.
Can someone please give me some advice, not sure what else I should be doing, I want to download all of the intermediate and upper intermediate lessons and put them on my Ipod.
Thanks! Rand.

New lesson idea? Please let us know at spanishpod@praxislanguage.com.

Well I'm still lost here. I saw an old post by kikuyu on manually bookmarking the lessons so that they would show up in itunes, but even with that I'm not getting them to show up.
It appears that my itunes is only letting me see the free stuff and some older stuff that I must have downloaded months ago cause I do have a couple of intermediate and upper intermediate lessons there.
hypersport,
Leo is the tech guy. Just send an email to
spanishpod@praxislanguage.com
Leo will get it and he is the tech guy. He will be able to straighten everything out for you. He's walked me through my technical difficulties before. Unfortunately he probably won't be checking his emails for the next two days since its the weekend.
You've probably gone through all the steps in the Help section on this website, what about hitting the refresh button on itunes?
Good Luck!
hypersport: you'll have to subscribe to your personal rss feed in iTunes. To do that you can either click on the little orange icon at the bottom of any SpanishPod page next to "My Lessons", or you can go to "My Lessons" and then click the button called "Settings and Help" in a small box called "My Person RSS Lesson Feed" on the right hand side of the "My Lessons" page and follow the instructions.
Hope this helps!
Thanks martinillo. That's what I've been doing though. I can't get the feed to work with my itunes.
The only way I can get the lessons into my ipod is by downloading them individually here on this site, and then moving the file into the itunes music library. Which is obviously a lot of work and time that should be avoidable.
hypersport: Sorry, I didn't read your first posting carefully enough. To let lessons appear I had to bookmark them and sometimes I also had to delete my personal rss feed in iTunes and resubscribe to it to make them show up. (And, yes, only bookmarked lessons show up.)
Thanks for the response. I don't know how to delete my rss feed in itunes. I've tried googling it too, and no luck. I've looked all over the itunes site and can't find anywhere that will let me delete the feed so that I can try and re-subscribe and hopefully get better results.
I've made sure that I've bookmarked every intermediate and upper intermediate lesson, but until I can figure out how to cancel the feed and try again, they're not gonna show up.
What if you select all of your podcasts on itunes and delete?
I think I had to do that once.
Thanks kikuyu. I did that and the only podcast that shows up is the new del taco al tango from 9/13 (today).
It's strange because I went back and made sure all the lessons that I want are bookmarked, yet they don't show up when I go through the process of advanced/subscribe to podcast/personal url feed, etc. at itunes.
I guess I'm gonna start downloading them individually here and just move them to the itunes library from a folder.
Well there it is, I downloaded all 71 intermediate and upper intermediate lessons manually and put them on my ipod.
Definitely worth the time and effort though for me as unfortunately we no longer have even one Mexican where I work that I can talk to. So it's gonna be nothing but spanishpod all day...good thing I have 13 hrs worth of podcasts to go through before I start repeating them jajaja. Ahh, almost forgot, some really good del taco al tangos too...
hypersport:
To unsubscribe a podcast with iTunes for MacOS you can select the podcast and press the "backspace" key.
Just checking: after you unsubscribed your personal podcast feed and resubscribing to it, you did "update podcast", right? (With MacOS: CRTL-click the podcast and choose "update podcast" from the pop-up menu; under Windows you probably have to right-click the podcast to access the pop-up menu.)
martinillo, thanks for all your help.
I just tried again, and same result. I get rid of everything, unsubscribe to my feed here at spanishpod, resubscribe with my personal url (and all my lessons are bookmarked) and every time it's the same thing...I just get the most recent podcast available, today it gave me the cooking lesson. Yesterday it was the del taco al tango.
But that's all that shows up, only one podcast.
Don't know what else I can do.
